Holiday events highlight December at CCBC
BALTIMORE COUNTY, Md. – Music and merriment abound this holiday season at the Community College of Baltimore County. Since these holidays are really about giving, consider participating in our Bone Marrow drive on Dec. 2 to help save a life.

Dec. 1-3, 5-6 Academic Theatre at CCBC: THE FANTASTICKS
Times vary, B Building Theatre at CCBC Essex, 7201 Rossville Boulevard.
In conjunction with CCBC's Year of the Performing Arts
The longest-running musical – 42 years and back again – on Broadway is a wonderful story of parental plotting to bring their children together. It is filled with music (Try to Remember) and laughter. Tickets are $8 general admission; $5 for students, seniors, CCBC faculty, staff and alumni. Call the CCBC Box Office at 443-840-2787 for times and tickets. $
Dec. 2 CCBC Essex Black Student Union, Office of Student Life and SIFE: BONE MARROW DRIVE
11 a.m. – 2 p.m., CCBC Essex, 7201 Rossville Boulevard
Student organizations on the Essex campus are joining forces to conduct a Bone Marrow drive in cooperation with "Be the Match." There will be NO blood drawn at the drive, registrants will be asked to take four long Q-tips® and "swab" the inside of their cheeks if they are cleared through the medical screening. Dec. 2 Music at CCBC: CLASSICAL MUSIC RECITAL
12:20 p.m., E Building Recital Hall, CCBC Essex, 7201 Rossville Blvd.
Talented students studying applied music at CCBC will present a recital of varied classical works ranging from Baroque to contemporary. FREE
Dec. 3 CCBC Athletics Hall of Fame: INAUGURAL INDUCTION BANQUET
6 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 3, Hilton Garden Inn, 5015 Campbell Boulevard, White Marsh, Md.

Dec. 3-4, 10-11, 17-18 Children's Playhouse of Maryland: A CHRISTMAS CAROL - the Broadway musical
1 p.m. (special 4 p.m. show - Dec. 11), J Building Lecture Hall, CCBC Essex, 7201 Rossville Boulevard.
In conjunction with CCBC's Year of the Performing Arts recognizing the work of alumnae CPM Executive Director Diane Trowbridge Smith and CPM Director-in-Residence Liz Boyer Hunnicutt.
This festive holiday musical is based on the story by Charles Dickens. For reservations, call 443-840-2787 (ARTS). Tickets are $10 general admission and $8 for birthday parties and Scout troops. $
Dec. 5 Music at CCBC: JAZZ PLUS
12:20 p.m., B building Upper Lobby, CCBC Essex, 7201 Rossville Blvd.
The Jazz Plus Ensemble, under the direction of adjunct Music faculty member and Emmy WinnerBrian Comotto, will perform standard and original jazz and pop compositions as well as holiday favorites. FREE

Dec. 8-10 CCBC Dance Company: FALL DANCE CONCERT
11: 15 a.m., Dec. 8; 8 p.m., Dec. 9-10 in the John E. Ravekes Theatre at CCBC Dundalk, 7200 Sollers Point Road.
It's artistry in motion at the annual concert by the CCBC Dance Company as they perform new works choreographed by faculty, students and guest artists. Tickets are $8 general admission and $5 for students, seniors, CCBC faculty, staff and alumni. $
Dec. 9-10 CCBC Chamber Singers: ANNUAL HOLIDAY CONCERT

This select choral ensemble, under the direction of CCBC Professor Monica Otal, will present diverse music of the holiday season. . FREE
Dec. 15 Music at CCBC: AN EVENING OF BIG BAND JAZZ
8 p.m., B Building Theatre, CCBC Essex, 7201 Rossville Blvd.
Under the direction of Ashton Fletcher, Powerhouse will perform jazz standards, big band and holiday favorites. FREE
Dec. 17 Children's Playhouse of Maryland: SPECIAL CHILDREN'S BRUNCH WITH SANTA!
11:30 a.m., Brunch with Santa ($10) B Building Dining Room, CCBC Essex, 7201 Rossville Blvd. or 11:30 a.m. Brunch with Santa in the B Building Dining Room and the 1 p.m. performance of "A Christmas Carol" in the J Building Lecture Hall, CCBC Essex, 7201 Rossville Blvd.-$15
This annual treat is fun for children and parents alike! Tickets are available from the CCBC Box Office at 443-840-2787 (ARTS). $

CCBC is closed for winter break. The campus will reopen and winter session classes will begin Monday, Jan. 2.
